ROCO 7710036 SBB ICN RABDe 5-Piece EMU Train Set - DC / 2-Rail

H2: Product Features || ROCO 7710036 brings the SBB RABDe 500 ICN back to the ROCO range as a completely technically revised HO model, reproduced for the first time in its current Epoch VI operating condition. The 5-piece DC / 2-rail train set represents the SBB ICN named “Auguste & Jacques Piccard” and features the current version without INTEGRA magnets on the bogies. Factory-fitted switchable interior lighting is complemented by driver’s cab lighting and illuminated table lamps in the dining coach in digital operation, adding distinctive interior detail throughout the train. The model has an overall length of 1,540 mm over the buffers and is designed for a minimum radius of 419.6 mm.

H2: Prototype Information || The SBB RABDe 500 ICN (InterCity Neigezug) is Switzerland’s flagship tilting high-speed train, engineered for fast and comfortable travel across the country’s curving intercity mainlines. Developed by a consortium led by Bombardier Transportation alongside Alstom and SIG, the ICN combines active tilting technology with distinctive Swiss design. Entering service in the early 2000s, the train’s active tilting system allows its car bodies to lean through curves, enabling higher speeds while maintaining passenger comfort and reducing journey times. With a top speed of 200 km/h, the RABDe 500 operates on important Swiss InterCity routes connecting cities including Zurich, Bern, Basel and Lausanne. ROCO 7710036 represents the train named “Auguste & Jacques Piccard” in its current Epoch VI operating condition.
