Central Station 3 plus is a multi-protocol digital controller. The next-generation controller features a high resolution touch colour screen, 2 locomotive controllers as well as a built-in central track diagram as a control board. The control board offers the possibility of simple and easy control of locomotives across the entire layout. The Central Station 3 plus is only to be used in conjunction with the Marklin switched mode power packs such as 60041, 60042, 60043, 60045, 60046 and 60195. It is not compatible with all types of non-switch mode Marklin transformers.  A switched mode power pack is not included with the Central Station 3 plus.

Product Description

Central Station can be used to control up to 32 functions on a Marklin mfx or other compatible DCC locomotive, and up to 320 Motorola or 2,048 DCC solenoid items can be controlled among accessories.

In addition, the Central Station 3 plus has 2 built-in locomotive card readers (for saving locomotive data on a locomotive card or for fast call-up of the locomotive by plugging in the locomotive card). An SD card slot for expanded storage is also included.  The built-in speaker can be used for playing back typical model railroad sounds.

A powerful booster is built in to provide power to the layout with current for trains and for accessories.

The Central Station 3 plus is multiple device capable, i.e. several Central Station 3 plus (60216) units can be operated together on a layout with the optional cable (60123). In addition, locomotive controllers, additional layouts, and Keyboards help to expand the operation of the layout, allowing joint and separate configurations to be maintained in the Central Station 3 plus for the layout areas to be controlled.

The Central Station 3 plus has a built-in s88 connection, 2 built-in USB hosts (such as for a mouse, keyboard, USB stick), a USB charging socket, a network connection for communication with a PC, connections for 2 Mobile Stations, a connection for external speakers as well as others for the Märklin Bus system. Load capacity at the feeder track: max. 5 amps, load capacity at the programming track: max. 1.2 amps. Max. output:

• 5.0 amps when using a Marklin 100 watt switched mode power pack exclusively with 1 Gauge and LGB.
• 3.0 amps when used with a Marklin 60 watt / 50 watt switched mode power pack with H0 and N Gauge.

The Central Station 3 plus can only be used in conjunction with Marklin switched mode power packs. Marklin warranty stands void if the controller is damaged as a result of power from a non-Marklin approved Switch-mode Power Supply.  Please take note that CS3 / CS3+ are not compatible with Marklin transformers. Please make sure that the wire cross section for your wiring is at least 0.5 square millimeters / 20 gauge or larger!).

Switched mode power pack is not included with the Central Station 3 plus is not included and needs to be purchased separately.
