The LokSound 5 Micro is a “little wonder” in the LokSound 5 family, with a footprint of only 21 x 10 mm. Specially designed for N, TT, and small H0 locomotives, it packs full-featured motor control and hi-fidelity sound into one of the smallest decoders ESU has ever built. The decoder comes with a Next18 interface and can be used with adapter boards to suit other common digital standards. An 11 x 15 mm sugar cube speaker with enclosure set is included (except DCC-only variant).

The LokSound 5 Micro supports multi-protocol operation including DCC, M4 (mfx®), Motorola®, and Selectrix®, as well as DC and AC analog layouts. Thanks to RailComPlus®, compatible command stations automatically recognize and register the decoder.

Despite its tiny size, the LokSound 5 Micro delivers crystal-clear 16-bit sound at 31,250 kHz, playing up to 10 channels simultaneously with a powerful 3 W Class D amplifier. It offers at least 6 amplified outputs, servo support via logic outputs, full lighting effects, and functions like the “coupler waltz” for digital couplers. Advanced motor control with 10–50 kHz silent drive, load regulation, and Auto-Tune calibration ensures flawless running even with coreless motors.
