Marklin 36659 Class 185.1 50th Anniversary Circus Roncalli Locomotive

H2: Product Features || Marklin 36659 reproduces the RAIL BAVARIA Class 185.1 electric locomotive in its striking “Zippo” advertising livery celebrating the 50th anniversary of Circus Roncalli. The HO model features a metal locomotive body and an mfx digital decoder with extensive sound and lighting functions. A centrally mounted special motor drives all four axles through cardan shafts, with traction tyres providing additional grip. Direction-dependent triple headlights and two red marker lights operate conventionally and can also be controlled digitally, with the headlights at each end switchable separately. Switching off the headlights at both ends activates the double-A light function. Maintenance-free warm-white and red LEDs provide the lighting, while two mechanically functional pantographs complete the roof detailing. The locomotive measures 21.7 cm over the buffers.

H2: Prototype Information || The prototype is a Class 185.1 electric locomotive operated by RAIL BAVARIA GmbH of Rohrbach. From July 2026, the locomotive carries a distinctive “Zippo” advertising design commemorating the 50th anniversary of Circus Roncalli. The real locomotive, 185 537, carries the special anniversary graphics and is used to transport the Circus Roncalli fleet and equipment across Germany and Europe. The Marklin model reproduces this 2026 anniversary appearance and is being offered as a one-time release.
