Liliput 330534 BLS EW III Kambly 4-Car Set

Product Features || This Liliput HO (1:87) four-car set reproduces the distinctive BLS EW III Kambly train as a special edition for the Swiss market. The formation comprises one Bt control car, one first-class A coach, one second-class B coach and one AD coach, with different running numbers and finely reproduced individual Kambly motifs across the coaches. The highly detailed models feature close-coupling kinematics, while the Bt control car is equipped with white and red directional lighting that changes according to the direction of travel. The AC 3-rail version is fitted with a centre-rail pickup and ESU function decoder for digital control of the lighting. The four-car formation can be expanded with Liliput 330535, comprising two additional B coaches, to reproduce the complete six-car Kambly train.

Prototype Information || The BLS EW III Kambly train was introduced in 2010 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Kambly, the renowned Swiss biscuit maker from the Emmental region. The specially liveried train initially operated between Bern, Trubschachen and Lucerne, connecting passengers through the picturesque Emmental and providing a direct association with the Kambly Erlebniswelt in Trubschachen. Following changes to operating patterns at Wolhusen, the Kambly train could no longer operate on this route after the December 2016 timetable change and was subsequently deployed between Bern and La Chaux-de-Fonds. With its distinctive Kambly branding and individual coach motifs, the train combines BLS regional railway heritage with one of Switzerland's most recognisable consumer brands.
